Top 5 Social Networking Apps on iOS in Sweden: Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the social networking landscape on the iOS platform in Sweden showcased notable trends across top applications. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here’s how the top five apps performed during this period.

Threads from Instagram, Inc. saw its weekly downloads peaking at approximately 31K mid-October, followed by a gradual decline to around 16K by the end of December. The app's active user base grew steadily, starting at 438K and rising to over 623K by the quarter's end.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a stable download rate, beginning the quarter with about 8.5K downloads and closing at around 6.8K. Active users started at 2.9M, with a slight dip towards the end of December, finishing at approximately 2.8M.

Telegram Messenger experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at $9.2K at the end of November. Downloads spiked to 11K in late October, while active users saw a decrease from 454K to 436K throughout the quarter.

Google Meet downloads ranged from 6K in early October to a low of 2.1K by the end of December. Active users showed a downward trend, starting at 43K and ending the quarter at 26K.

Finally, Facebook generated a weekly revenue high of $9.1K at the quarter’s start. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 4K, while active users fluctuated slightly, closing the quarter at 1.2M.
